Chris was the leader of an online game group. Although we never met I have ‘known’ him for about 6 years. He was a great leader, always patient and encouraging of other players and utterly fair. He kept scrupulous records of the team’s performance and opponents and was a great cheerleader for all abilities. He and I sometimes used to share a moan or two and I always felt that I could have an honest chat with him. Even when he was obviously very poorly he was still playing and encouraging the others. I wish I had met him as he was obviously a really top bloke. He leaves a big gap in the playing community and we will always remember his commitment and sense of humour. Fly high Slippy Wings, we miss you xx
